Shopify allows you to control search results only through app. You can install this free app Shopify Search & Discovery from the App store to control & customize search results of your products.
To use Search customization, you need this free app Shopify Search & Discovery
Once you’ve installed the app, you can see this app listed under Apps menu inside your admin panel. Then you can access the filters under Search & Discovery -> Search. You can find detailed instructions here
Using Search page
You can find search template inside Others -> Search template. You can go to Search template from the top dropdown inside your customizer.
Modifying Predictive search results
You can edit/modify the instant/predictive search results that appears below the search form when you start typing from Theme settings -> Predictive search results.
